Minecraft 1.21.130 Bedrock Changelog
This major update introduces a new Realms backup system and implements a large number of fixes across Gameplay, Mobs, Input, and Graphical rendering.
New Features and Realms
- Realms Saves: Introduced a new and improved backup system for Realms worlds.
- Automatic Saves are enabled by default and function like the previous backups.
- Manual Saves allow the Realm owner to create a permanent copy of the world, accessible via the Realms Settings menu.
- The save system now lists the world name and the applied resource/behavior packs.
Gameplay
- Added the Damage Tilt slider to Video settings, controlling how much the screen tilts when the player takes damage, achieving parity with Java Edition.
- Hoppers now have a short cooldown after being moved by a Piston, which fixes a duplication bug involving Bundles.
- Hoppers can no longer stack multiple Bottles into one slot inside a Brewing Stand.
- Fixed a bug preventing players from growing Pink Petals, Wildflowers, or Leaf Litter by targeting the side of a block.
- The critical hit sound now correctly plays when a player lands a critical hit.
Blocks and Items
- Hanging Roots can now be waterlogged.
- Crimson Roots and Crimson Fungus now correctly generate in the Warped Forest biome.
- Gold Horse Armor has been renamed to Golden Horse Armor (MCPE-101388).
- Spawn Eggs are now sorted thematically in the Creative Inventory by category: Overworld (Farm Animals, Mounts, Pets, Wild Animals, Aquatic), Miscellaneous, and Golems.
Mobs
- Piglins will no longer scream with enthusiasm when admiring gold; they will now make a “courteous grunt of acknowledgement” (Parity with Java).
- Drowned attack now correctly knockbacks the attacked mob into the air when the mob is not in water.
- Camels can now dash even when standing in water.
- Camels now take fall damage starting four blocks higher when walking or dashing.
- Pufferfish can now spawn in Lukewarm Ocean and Deep Lukewarm Ocean biomes.
- Pufferfish and Tropical Fish can now be caught when fishing in Jungle biomes.
- Phantoms can no longer drown.
- The list of mobs that Baby Zombie Jockeys and Baby Husk Jockeys can ride has been restricted for parity.
- Dolphins no longer spawn in the Cold Ocean or Deep Cold Ocean biomes.
Graphical
- Fixed a bug where the mouse cursor moved in the background during gameplay (MCPE-230832).
- Fixed a bug where the fade command would fade to black instead of the specified color when Vibrant Visuals is enabled.
- Fixed certain effects, such as fire and the Spyglass overlay, rendering in front of the fade effect.
- The partial transparency applied to mobs when close to the camera now also applies to players.
- The nose of the Copper Golem is now rotated correctly while the Golem is sitting down.
- Fixed large flipbook textures corrupting other textures.
Input and User Interface
- Windows Fix: The previously known issue where the mouse cursor moved in the background during gameplay is now fixed.
- The Chat screen text field is automatically selected on opening for Windows (Keyboard and Mouse users), allowing immediate text input.
- Fixed a bug on Windows where disabling the system setting “Scroll inactive windows when hovering over them” had no effect.
- The On-Screen Keyboard will no longer appear over the chat box when docked.
- New Joystick: Added a new joystick for touch controls when using the
player_relative_strafeorcamera_relative_strafecontrol schemes. - Open UI windows (inventory, trading, chat) will now close when the player takes damage from a mob, but will not close repeatedly if the player is attacked multiple times in quick succession.
- Hotbar hotkeys now work when hovering over the output slots of the Grindstone and Anvil.
General
- Reenabled missing music for several biomes.
- Resolved an issue on Windows where shared worlds did not load resource or behavior packs.
- Removed an unexpected Sign Out button on the user profile on Windows.
- Added the splash text “One does not simply walk to the Far Lands.”
